Did anyone listen to the PA on their FM radio at the World Arena event?
It was broadcasting on 107.3.
We (CDR) have a new FM transmitter and I'm wondering how well / if it is working.
Thanks for any feedback

I didn't think it was working, but now see that we were trying the wrong frequency.
There was confusion about the frequency in the morning, and by the time the second heat actually ran, I had forgotton what it was. Perhaps this is something that can be posted on the grid assignment/timing results board.

I was listening to it in my car and could hear it fine. There was a bit of a buzzing noise in the background though.

I was listening to the broadcast as well. There was a fair amount of static (buzz), but other than that it worked well.

I got a lot of high pitched buzz, but I could hear through it fine when people were speaking.
one thing I'd like to see is that if there's a delay in the event that it be announced over the PA/radio. maybe I missed it, but I spent a lot of time in grid listening to that buzzz wondering what was going on out there in the 1st heat.
in any case, the radio transmission is a great thing to have!

Heard it fine, but there was a 60hz buzz (similar to what you hear on AM radio going under high tension lines) when there was no transmission going on.
I figured it was some sort of "not quite grounded" condition between the trailer and the generator.
Might consider some sort of power line noise filter for the transmitter equipment or a common grounding line for both or some such.

We may need to ground the generator and/or trailer too...

You could always get a Punjar and 9 feet of copper stakes and drive a ground into the parking lot...at least that's what we used to do with our Comm vans:)
