...anybody interested in getting a BRL/COSAX style thing going up here?

Grant, Carol, Teit, Dave, Others?

Or are there just not enough of us on any given day?

Jake, find Lawrence and Ann Edwards, too. Lawrence travels quite a bit, but they're in Loveland, just 15 minutes away.

Jamie and Jay Yost are (used to be) in Windsor.
Dave Jobusch is in Windsor
Grant and Carol Barclay are in Loveland (rural)
Graeme Weston-Lewis is in Loveland (rural)
Lawrence and Ann Edwards are in Loveland (???)
Jake Latham is in North FtC
Several RMCBMWCCA AXers are up north

I was thinking about setting something up with the BMW folks, which would give us enough numbers to setup a regular get together.

Count me in.

I know we have a few folks just south, like Longmont-ish.

The Yosts still are in Windsor, to my knowledge.

I think the issue is more where we work?

I work ~Harmony & College. You and the Yosts are HP heads, right? IIRC, Graeme is at Lucent? Carol/Grant are roughly Drake & College.

I think that all puts us relatively close together.

Any favorite lunch haunts?

Graeme works at LSI, just across the street from HP. The Yosts are HP or Agilent (Agere?). I'm Intel. Barclays are on the west side as you say.

I'm open to just about anything, as my lunch schedule is pretty flexible. We usually stick to something on or near Harmony, but make the occasional trip to campus or Olde Town.

I'm always up for some bench racing.

I currently meet with a bunch of gearheads on Wednesdays in Old Town for lunch. We always meet at the same place at the same time. This works well because we have people that travel, and they always know when and where the lunch is regardless. A pretty diverse bunch, some old racers, quite a few collectors, a couple of really smart engineers. good folks.

Any of the SCCA locals would be welcome, just contact me before next Wednesday. GBarclay " at " aol.com

But keep me in the loop, I'd be up for some bench racing anytime, anywhere. Even if you guys just want to come over to the shop for some amber pops.

Starting a FtC bench racers lunch sounds fun.

Jay and I do still live in Windsor. I'm now a stay-home mom, but Jay's at HP in FtC.

Fridays work best for both of us.

Lawrence and Ann live in Loveland, but Lawrence works in Greeley (west side, I belive).

If we rotated days and locations, I think we'd have a better shot of making it possibly for everyone to attend at least some.

Keep us informed on what you decide to do. I might be able to talk the garage queen turbo to come out for a ride south, given nice weather, no wind, snow, rain, trucks, ...
45 miles just starts to get her warmed up on a good day.

Had lunch with Grant and the other guys last week - good times! Once I get back from Texas...hoooooo-wweeee!

Good to get some car talk in to make the winter go a little faster...

I work in Greeley, yes, west side. Ann is in Windsor.
If Friday's work for people it would be best for us.

How about a kickoff FtC area BRL this Friday, February 3rd? Say 12PM?

Would the Old Chicago's at Timberline & Harmony be a central location or possibly Primovolo at the I-25 & Windsor exit (behind Arby's) to accomodate the Loveland and Greeley folks? Jay tells me its equal driving time from HP at Harmony and Ziegler to both due to the lights along Harmony.

Reply with date, time and location comments and we'll find something that works for most since this is the inaugral FTCBRL. Okay --- we best throw out some ideas for names, too! ;)

I'm in. My schedule is fairly flexible. Either location sounds fine to me.

I can hit either as well :)

That's great news Paul. I think we'll need to rotate days initially so we find something that works for all or most.

Lawrence, Ann, Grant, Carol ... are you interested in attending Friday's lunch? Please let us know if you have a preferred location (Old C's or Primovolo).

And, anyone else out there with a preferrence? Right now, with Jake, David, Jay and myself attending, I think Old C's is probably it ...

I'm going to contact Graeme and see if he can go.

Most Fridays I might be able to come down from Cheyenne, but can't this one. Business lunch scheduled. Just pretend I'm there and try hard to say nice things about novice Porsche drivers. :)

I can't make this Friday but would be up for trying to make the next one. Although my autocrossing activities have diminished of late I would still be up for having lunch with some fellow gearheads!
I work in Greeley , but live in Fort Collins - Old C's on Harmony is about as convenient as it gets.

Have fun!

Wow - I didn't know there were so many of us up here. That's great!

Okay - lets call it as Old C's at Harmony and Timberline tomorrow, Friday, Feb 3rd, at noon.

See you there.

Jamie

Cancel the Old C's location. Jay just said there's a big farewell party there at noon tomorrow for an HP-ite. We don't want to contend with that.

So, lets make it Primovolo at noon. Lawrence can make it from Greeley and Ann and I are in Windsor ... should be a quick drive down I-25 for the folks on east Harmony.

See you there.
