Once again Clay Turner has put pen to paper (fingers to keyboard) and written a clear and concise piece of literature. Look in the Rants & Raves section of the October SportsCar. Clay puts his finger right on the problem of disappearing venues and more importantly says how to fix it. Well thought out, well written and hopefully will be followed as well. Thanks Clay!

I remember seeing my Dad's letterhead weekly on the local evening news as he wrote about his latest pet peeve.

I'm becoming my father. :)

Ironic - last week, or it may have been on my way to the last event (fuming about no PPIR or conflicting schedules with other sanctioning bodies), I was wondering why there wasn't a "Colorado Racing Council" or something of the sort that would oversee all racing activities in Colorado (SCCA, NASA, AMA, WRC, et al.) and act on behalf of all these bodies, to further the interests of the racing community as a whole. It's frustrating to see all our venues closed at the expense of all the participants we have in this region because influences outside of racing drive their closure.
