The storage unit I rent in Colorado Springs was broken into recently, and the bums stole a bunch of car-related stuff.
If you happen to see any Mustang wheels, NSX wheels with mounted Yokohama tires, or Toyo Proxes tires (loose) show up on ebay or in pawn shops, etc, let me know.

How recently?

I found out about it today ... but I suppose the stuff could have been ripped off several days ago.

That stinks... Did the storage place contact you about it? I'll keep an eye out...

Sorry, Paul. Happened to me once before.

Some interesting (and not positive) developments:
The storage company doesn't care (no surprise). They just said "Should have had a better lock". At least they told me about it initially, thankfully.
Homeowners insurance probably doesn't cover it because there is an auto parts exclusion in the policy. What a surprise. But they might ... depends if the parts were new, or takeoffs, or something.
Auto insurance will probably cover it, but may require separate deductibles for each car that was involved, even though it was one incident.
Haven't heard anything from the Police Dept's pawnshop patrol ... it is slightly encouraging that they even have one, though.
But why would someone swipe the Cobra cat-back but not the H-pipe?
Go figure. (the cat-back was shinier, though ...)

Shiny is probably why.
Sorry to hear about the theft Paul, that sucks...
Hmm, maybe there's a market here though... A spray on application designed to make your wheels (or whatever else) look like cr*p, but not erode the finish...:)
When I used to live in Portland (where petty theft was higher than any other city for a time), I left a tape cassette in my stereo with about two handfulls of tape pulled out and wrinkeld up. Even when the car was broken into (twice... ), the stereo was never touched... Go figure...
Good luck with the insurance Paul! I'm going around with them myself after getting caught in the windstorm two weeks ago. Got pummeled by a cloud of rocks and dirt while driving at 60 mph. With 60-70 mph winds, it must have been at least 100 mph rocks hitting the car. Sounded like it too...
